Yeah, that crossing the street while there’s a zillion cars barrelling towards you is becoming quite common. I remember when I was in Seguin for college people did it all the time (usually younger to older hispanics, but some random older white people too). Then, when Jon and I were living in Nashville the number of people who did that shit sky rocketed. And let me tell you, there is an enormous lack of common sense in the deep south; I know I lived there for 2 years. I think there is some kind of mental degradation of rational thought and common sense going on. Maybe it’s the water, maybe it’s the television; but I personally think that alot of it has to do with lack of parental guidance and some warped view of freedom meaning I can do whatever the hell I want. The thing about freedom is that with it comes responsibility, so if you can’t handle that then you better get used to being ruled by someone else or deal with the fact that you might end up as a pancake on the road because of your irresponsibility. Either way, pretending like it’s the drivers fault is just ludicrous and for all those “kids” tha think they look “cool” doing that shit, well you might want to take a look in the mirror again. No one, except maybe the retarded media is going to give you any credit for being a complete waste of life.
